Our greatest glory is not in never falling,
but in rising every time we fall.

We cannot change the cards we are
dealt - just how we play the hand.

Be not judges of others, and you will not be judged.
For as you have been judging, so you will be judged,
and with your measure will it be measured to you.
Matthew, 7
For quite some time, I´ve been working
on translating the german version into
an identical English copy. After having started
several times, and deleting repeatedly,
I came to the conclusion I cannot do it this way.
I couldn´t find official and appropriate
translations of the many beautiful quotes
and would never dare to translate them
by myself. How could I translate poetry
with all it´s value and magic?
However, I decided to just refer to the basics
and create something
similar instead of a perfect replica.
Primarily I planned this site to be a memorial for
Adriana, however, during it´s production, it has
developed into a lot more than that. It turns out
to be another step of coping, a revival of struggle
and pain as well as beautiful moments. It has become
a therapy described by life itself.
I feel the strong desire to dedicate this tiny spot of
the world wide web to those who came along with
me and taught me along the way; who pointed out
their limits, but foremost, revealed mine; who helped
me to get to know parts of myself I didn´t know of.
Some people stayed for a long time whereas the life
lines of others caused a quick division.
I cherish not only the wonderful relationships but
also the unpleasant encounters, for everybody
has left a footprint in my soul. I´m looking forward
to those who are to come in the future and have
learned to accept people for who they are.
Above all I have been taught by my children,
my family and friends.
I must also mention the sweet little
souls of our four-legged family members, who love us
unconditionally and never ever judge. What a
wonderful gift and blessing to our family!
As you will notice I simply love poems, quotes,
aphorisms and taking pictures. Most of the
authors are well known, though even
with diligent research it
wasn´t always possible to determine the origin.
In case of an infringement of a copyright, please send
me a note and I´ll either add the author so they get
credit or delete the subject if necessary.
Unfortunately the german law forces me to state
the following (though I have found the links included
in this site safe when I have used them): I am not
responsible for the contents of pages linked to my
website. Please view them at your own risk.
Feel free to view and/or sign my guestbook.
If you feel this page is worthwhile recommend
it to your family and friends.

Dare to be different, life is so full of people
who follow the same push-and-pull,
poor plodding people who,
other than name,
try to pretend they´re exactly the same.
God made us different, there never will be
a replica soul made of you or me.
The charm - the glory of all creation
rests on this very deviation.
Your charm - your own glory, too,
lies in being uniquely you,
lies in being true to your best,
that part of you different from all the rest.
